Former Colorado Governor Bill Owens Admits he Pressured C.U. to Fire Ward Churchill
I saw video of Owens’ testimony on “CBS4Denver” today at 5:00 p.m. Can’t find a transcript or a copy of of the video yet but I’ll post one as soon as I do, if I do. Interesting, isn’t it, that it’s so hard to find?
CNBC’s Mark Haines Says the Market Will Go Up Now
Why anyone on CNBC (in the midst of Jon Stewart lasering in on Jim Cramer’s and Rick Santelli’s idiocy) would make a definitive statement like this is beyond me – seems like media malpractice – but this morning at rougly 8:30 a.m. ET, Mark Haines declared that the Dow was going to start going up now; that we’ve hit some sort of bottom.
UPDATE: Hey! He’s right, at least for today (bet he’s thanking his lucky stars). The Dow is up 3.91. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: 3/12 – The Dow was up 239.66 today. Right again Mark. Stay tuned.
Black or White? That Alabama Shooter
David Shuster substituted for Keith Olberman on Tuesday. He interviewed the Sheriff in one of the towns that the “Alabama shooter” shot in today. The Sheriff said the shooter was African American. Minutes later, on the Rachel Maddow show, a guy she interviewed said the shooter was white. Ah, hello. Yo, MSNBC, does that generate any questions for ya’ll? I ask because the overwhelming majority of mass murders are white.
