Think
Money is the great power today. Men sell their souls for it. Women sell their bodies for it. Others worship it. The money power has grown so great that the issue of all issues is whether the corporation shall rule this country or the country shall again rule the corporations.

Craig Crawford – MSNBC’s New “Political Analyst?”
That’s what I gather from watching Countdown tonight.
Big, BIG yawn.
How about including some new blood, like David Sirota or Thom Hartmann or Amy Goodman?
Oh, and what’s with Pat Buchanan being on from dawn to dusk – Morning Joe to Hardball, as was the case today?
Fox New$: Let’$ Party!
Let’$ tea party. Think rating$ and moolah. Daylong “fair and balanced” coverage!

Norm Coleman “Deserves His Day in Court?”
Today is April 14, 2009. The election between Norm Coleman and Al Franken was held on November 4, 2008. That would be five months and ten days ago. The issue as to who won has been in the Minnesota courts, for all intents and purposes, from day one. Yet GOP spinmeister Ron Christie was on The Ed Show on MSNBC this afternoon and he said (waaaah, waaaah) that Coleman “deserves his day in court.”
What? Seems to me that Coleman has had his nearly six months “day in court,” don’t ya think? Does he need and/or deserve more time? Where does this end?
OMG – Now the Wingers Are Offering to Pay People to Publicize Tea Parties
And the wingers claim that George Soros is funding our stuff? What a running joke that is. Check this out. Grass-roots uprising my ass.
This is becoming more and more mind-blowing by the minute but what it suggests is that this isn’t getting the traction they’d hoped for (pray tell).

Kansas Vets See Through the “Bipartisan” Tea Party Lie
The hypocrisy from the right (like, ah, “support the troops?”) is comin’ at us from every which way possible.
I agree with the Vets. Do you?
I Can’t Believe I Agree With Bernard Goldberg
Or, you know cracks are developing in wingerland when the heretofore unheard of happens: Sean Hannity and Bernie Goldberg disagree with each other.
Be a “Citizen Scientist” and Help Us Understand Global Warming
What a great idea: The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado created what it calls, Project BudBurst (here’s the website), to collect data from “citizen scientists” that will be used “to better understand how global warming is affecting the life cycle of flowers, trees and grasses.”
In March, for example, researchers in Japan announced that cherry blossoms appeared in Tokyo a week earlier than average for the fourth year in a row. Throughout Japan, flowers are blooming 125 miles farther north on a particular day than they did 40 years ago.
These are the types of observations that Project BudBurst may make possible for more American plants in the future.
The public is invited encouraged to send in their observations. Check out the site. It’s really cool. I think school-aged kids would love to work on a project like this.

The Wingers Can’t Get Their Story Straight on “Tea Party Day”
The official “Tea Party Day” website says that there will be demonstrations tomorrow “in 2,004 cities.” But this morning on “Fox & Friends” a chyron claimed there would be demonstrations in 500 cities. A few minutes later Gretchen Carlson said there would be demonstrations in 700 cities.
Humm. You don’t suppost there’s some exaggeratin’ going on here now do ya?
CNN’s Snotty Little Chyron
This morning CNN aired a snotty little chyron that read: “‘GLIMMERS OF HOPE.’ President sells economic plan 11:30 am est.”
Gee. Wonder why we didn’t see chyrons like that during the Bush years. You know, “President sells Iraq war 11:30 am est.”
(In contrast, MSNBC – not that it’s perfect, by any means – aired a chyron that read: “President Obama speech on the economy 11:30 am est.” Much more professional, imho.)
