Democrats Win the Rush Limbaugh Head-of-the-GOP War
Two or three months ago, Democrats began referring to Rush Limbaugh as the head of the Republican party. Republicans denied it, they feebly objected, but when they did, they turned around and kissed Limbaugh’s amulet.
No! they said. He’s not our leader.
No? Then why did Rush say this today and why is it being taken seriously:
I am resigning as the titular head of the Republican Party.
IMHO, Democrats won this round.

Insofar as it’s been almost two years since this tweet, I guess she changed her mind. Writing hate books is obviously a whole lot more profitable.
Mark Penn Should Go to Work for Fox News
“Democratic strategist” Mark Penn, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton and the guy who is widely credited with driving Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign over a cliff, penned an op-ed for today’s Politicio in which he said that Nancy Pelosi has “caused a split within Democratic ranks at a time when party unity is essential.” Needless to say, Republicans have gotta be lovin’ that!
Thanks Mark. You should go to work for Fox “News.” They love “Democratic strategists” like you — “strategists” who do more to help Republicans than Democrats.
Republicans Pass Watered-Down Version of “Democrat Socialist Party” Resolution
Love that Republicans — who, say, want to control women’s bodies — are urging,
the Democratic Party to remember what made our country great and to stop pushing our country toward socialism and government control.

After Years of Silence, Fox News Suddenly Worries About “Your Tax Dollars”
Having monitored Your World w/Neil Cavuto, Fox’s “premiere business news” show, five days a week for George W. Bush’s entire second term while I was with the News Hounds, I can say unequivocally that “your tax dollars” were not words that passed the lips of the folks on that show with any regularity, to say the least.
Oh, yeah, Cavuto would have a fit, say, when NYC wanted to force restaurants to list the fat content of their food. That kind of thing, of course, was a waste of “your tax dollars.” Or last summer when Republicans wanted to “drill baby, drill.” That was cool but investing in solar or wind, now that was a waste of “your tax dollars.” Between 2004 and Inauguration Day 2009, while George W. ran up the deficit to heights never before seen in this country, “your tax dollars” were only a concern when someone other than Republicans were “wasting” them.
Well, voila, what with the Democrats in charge, Fox has gone and — predictably — flip-flopped.
And, no amount is too small to quibble with as you can see; in this case, $178,000. What would that be? Roughly 1/999,999,999,999% of the budget? But, far as Fox is concerned, the point is made: Obama’s “wasting your tax dollars” and that’s all you need to know.
It’s No Secret That the CIA Lies
The wingers are having a fake hissy fit over Nancy Pelosi’s assertion that the CIA “mislead” her when it briefed congress about the torture techniques it was using during the Bush administration. They claim she’s being disrespectful and unpatriotic but their outrage can only be sustained if the “liberal media” and the American people forget the CIA’s relatively recent history of “misleading” government officials, which is out there, in plain sight.
