Green Iran: You Are in My Heart
Green is the color of the opposition in Iran.
Follow what’s happening here, here, here and here (to name but a few of the best).
I’m worried about tomorrow.
Sotomayor – So Sorry You Caved to the 25%-ers
The headline couldn’t be more perfect: Sotomayor Quits Women’s Club After GOP Criticism.
Hey guys, the Democrats won.
W. belonged to an “all men’s club” called Skull & Bones? Did he quit? No.
The GOP has a 25% approval rating. 25%! And you’re letting that crowd dictate to you? Where is the pride and respect in your accomplishment, in your campaign message and in your belief in us, We the People who elected you?
Come on. Stand tall. Enough of the kowtowing already!
Since When Has Fox News Hesitated “to Rush to Air” With “Accusations Against a Sitting Senator?”
Politico is reporting that Fox “News” was tipped off to the fact that Senator John Ensign (R-NV) was having an extramarital affair before the story broke earlier this week. But per Fox “News” producer Tom Lowell,
We followed up with [the tipster], but he seemed evasive and not credible, thus we didn’t pursue it, he said. We certainly weren’t going to rush to air with accusations against a sitting Senator without doing due diligence on the reputability of the claims.
Yep. That would be Fox. They “certainly” wouldn’t want to “rush to air” with “accusations against a sitting Senator without doing due diligence on the reputability of the claims.” No! They would never do that.
What a bunch of crap. Go to my alma mater, the News Hounds, and pick out any one of the 13,877 posts there and you’ll see how Fox regularly makes accusations against sitting senators without doing due diligence of any kind whatsoever. They pull lies and innuendo out of thin air…as long as they’re talking about a Democrat.
Thank You Pixar!
A sad, sweet story: Pixar Grants Girl’s Last Wish – To see Up.
More Strange Behavior From the “Liberal Media”
Fred Thompson is going to be a guest on Meet the Press this Sunday. Fred Thompson? The washed-up, two-bit actor? The guy who couldn’t get anything going when he ran for president last year? Guess it was a slow news week, huh?
Arrrahhhh!!
Curious Omission by the “Liberal Media”
If you watch television “news,” particularly 24/7 cable “news,” you probably heard endless chatter yesterday about how President Obama’s popularity is slipping — the “honeymoon is over.” Well, contained in the same NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that produced that full day of material was this: Republican Party Now Less Popular Than Dick Cheney.
Humm. I wonder why the “liberal media” wasn’t all over that.
Quote of the Day
From Glenn Greenwald, on the Washington Post firing Dan Froomkin yesterday:
Froomkin — unlike David Gregory — believes that reporters should actually point out when the Government is lying. That’s what he did. That’s why, to The Post, he wasn’t a real reporter but, rather, an “ideologue.” That’s the sickness of American journalism in a nutshell.
Air France Thinks a Human Life is Worth $24,000
That’s how much they’re offering, “as an advance,” to the families of the victims of Flight 447.
I Want to Work for Oprah Winfrey
She’s taking her entire staff — and their families! — on a Mediterranean cruise.
Must be nice.
