Mark Udall — Bought and Sold by Big PhRMA
I just saw an ad on 9News sponsored by a group (time to keep the YouTube-ready DVR on all the time) called something like Pharmaceuticals for America. Mark Udall and Bill Bennett were the stars.
BTW. Mark – have you held any — any — town hall meetings?

The simple answer is here. BTW, we’re screwed.

Dick Armey, who has positioned himself to make a lot — a lot — of money off of fear and anger, ratchets it up.
“Grassroots” Teabaggers? Not so Much
Back in roughly 1970 I hitchhiked with my boyfriend from Michigan to Washington, D.C. for a march against the Vietnam War. I remember getting one long ride during the trip to D.C. (we hitched home too) during which we were stuffed in the back of a truck, inside a camper, under a wooden platform that was occupied by other hitchhikers. That part of the trip wasn’t fun but all in all. Nor was trying to find a bathroom and water or sleeping at the base of the Washington Monument in one sleeping bag. But I’m glad I went.
Back then, there was no such thing as Fox News or “FreedomWorks” exploiting us by profiting off of what we were doing; who were charging other groups oh, say, “$10,000 for the right to distribute material to the activists gathered for the march, and to attach their own names to the event.”
The teabaggers may think they’re partaking in a “grassroots” movement but they would be wrong. This exercise is a fund-raising influence-raising event for conservative hate groups who could care less about the people on the front line.
The Fox Business Network Admits it’s a Farce
What does it say when Fox is in talks with Don Imus — ahem, that renound business and financial expert Don Imus! mind you – to do a morning show on it’s “business news” network?
Fox Implies That Rep. Eric Massa’s Constituents Should Kill Him
Over the weekend, Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY), a strong proponent of the public option, appeared in Pittsburgh at Netroots Nation 2009 and said, among other things, “I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think that I’m doing is going to be helpful.”
Well, Fox is outraged. The stated reason is that Massa would even think about ignoring the wishes of his constituents. (I.e., Fox is “lookin’ out for the folks.”) The real reason, of course, is that (1) Massa is a Democrat and (2) Massa supports the public option. So, why not seize the opportunity and use it to further inflame Fox’s base? You know, the folks who are bring guns to town hall meetings and who are shooting up churches and killing police officers?
And that’s just what they’re doing. Today on Your World w/Neil Cavuto, immediately prior to introducing his guest, Stephen Moore to talk about Massa, Cavuto played a clip from a movie depicting Marie Antoinette — who ignored her constituents — bound and lying on a plank, being slid under the blade of a guillotine while an awestruck crowd watched.
(I was channel surfing when I came across this and I didn’t have my DVR on. Wish I’d gotten video but, unfortunately, I didn’t.)
Bob Novak Dies
Expect the right to treat him like a saint and to conveniently forget that he was a Bush administration thug (far from being a “journalist”) who outed Valerie Plame.
