“Christian” Pastor Prays for Murder, Murder, Murder
Scratching head about what I thought was their pro-life philosophy but, anyway, here’s the deal:
Christian Pastor Steven Anderson wants homosexuals put to death, just as the Bible mandates. In addition, the good Pastor prays for President’s Obama’s death.
Boulder Liberal Mark Udall Endorses Nuclear Power as a Solution to Global Warming
Hey folks. Don’t miss this. “Boulder liberal” Mark Udall, who I’m beginning to believe is doing nothing more than running on his uncle’s name, legacy and reputation, endorsed nuclear power today as a means of combating global warming.
I’m willing to bet that 90% of the people who voted for Mark in 2008 would oppose this. Again, he’s skatin’ on his uncle’s name. He’s a PINO (progressive in name only).
Note to MSNBC: Get Rid of Allison Stewart as Rachel Maddow’s Substitute. Hire Amy Goodman!
Allison Stewart subbed for Rachel Maddow tonight on MSNBC. I presume she’s on line to do so for the duration of Maddow’s vacation.
Bad move. Stewart was limp, limp, limp when she subbed for Keith Olbermann a few years ago (that’s when they brought in Rachel) and she was limp, limp, limp tonight. No offense to her; that’s the way she is. She just doesn’t have what it takes.
So what’s with MSNBC not understanding that we want someone who’s fiery to replace Rachel just like we wanted someone fiery to replace Olbermann?
Yo! MSNBC. Take a leap. Hire Amy Goodman to replace Rachel when she’s off.
Your ratings would go through the roof (and you could give Amy her own show to replace that pathetic Joe coffee clutch whatever-you-call-it thing that you air in the morning.)
Propaganda is an Insidious, Subtle Thing
Example: Keith Olbermann aired a segment tonight about Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to appoint a special prosecutor (that’s another post) to investigate Bush-era CIA interrogations torture. One of the detainees who figures prominently in the investigation and who figured prominently in Olbermann’s segment was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. You’ve seen his picture a thousand times. That’s the picture Olbermann used.
He’s a monster, right?
But I remember seeing this picture of Mohammed years ago:

It’s notable that our media — even the “liberals” amongst us – continue to portray people like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in the worst light possible.
Sean Hannity Thinking About Running for President
Talk-show host Sean Hannity, a vocal opponent of Barack Obama’s policies, said today [Friday] he would not rule out a bid for the presidency in 2012.
Why Don’t Democrats Just Start Lying Their Faces Off?
Insofar as it’s obvious that the truth is boring and it doesn’t play well on TV, I think Democrats should start saying whatever the hell they want when they go on the arguing shows — even if it’s a bald faced lie — because the “liberal media” won’t fact check anything they say until weeks later, if ever. And if the lie they tell is really sensational — you know, like about death panels — they’ll get invited back way sooner than otherwise, because the “liberal media” just loves talking about sensational stuff, no matter whether it’s true or not.
Amazing Pictures
Wired has posted a series of photographs of erupting volcanoes as seen from space. They’re beautiful.
And look at these cool cloud formations that nobody can explain.
Fox “News” Tries to BS People Into Thinking It Cares About the Environment
Did you know that Fox “News” has a “green” website? Sure enough. Here it is. It was last updated on — get this — July 15. The fact that the site even exists is a joke. Its sole purpose is to make people think Fox is hip and it cares about environmental issues, but it’s inescapably obviously that it doesn’t.
Here’s a screenshot of the homepage as it looks today:

Overpopulation: The Elephant in the Room
Here’s an interesting article from the BBC about the projected growth in population and hence the projected growth in the need for food, water and energy. It ain’t a pretty picture.
I was born in 1952. I figure I’m going to die at just about the right time because life on this planet is going to be horrible in the not too distant future — certainly within the lifetime of those who are little kids right now. I listen to my neighbor’s one-year old grandson babbling in the backyard next door and I cringe when I think about the kind of world that will exist when he’s my age.
