The U.S.S. Constitution is the Constitution? Or Something?
If they knew what they were talking about maybe we could have a discussion.

No competition; force the little guy out. Bottom line? We lose.
Blackwater Rakes it In — Change We Can’t Believe In
The State Department extends Blackwater’s “security contract.” Oh, and by the way, contractors now outnumber our troops in Afghanistan.
Um. Wonder how the troops feel — getting paid a pittance — while the “contractors” rake it in, paid by your tax dollars. And given the billions your tax dollars go to the defense budget, why do we need to hire “contractors” in the first place? Maybe it’s because they give a whole lot of money to the people who decide these things? Ya think?
Winger Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Charging Taxpayers to FLY to Church
That’s right. The same guy who was against accepting stimulus money (what about the deficit?!) before he wasn’t, is charging his constituents to fly to church: “The helicopter that the governor uses the most costs $1,200 an hour to operate — about $45,000 for the five months of church visits.”
The hypocrisy just keeps on coming.
Familiarize Yourself With This Supreme Court Case – Corporations Will Literally Rule the Country if the Plaintiff Wins
The Supreme Court will hear a very, very important case next week — breaking from their usual tradition of convening on the first Monday in October. The case is called Citizens United v. FEC (Federal Election Commission). The plaintiffs are asking that corporations be treated as people (the court has already ruled that corporations are people) insofar as campaign contributions are concerned. Today there are restrictions as to how much corporations can give to campaigns. Citizens United (surely one of the most misleading names in the history of the planet) seeks to remove those restrictions so corporations can give an unlimited amount to a candidate.
Think about that. The voices of average citizens are already almost never heard because Senators listen to corporate lobbyists and to their largest campaign donors. Average citizens would most surely be completely silenced if SCOTUS rules in favor of, ahem, Citizens United, because corporations will be able to give millions and millions of dollars to candidates who will legislate in their favor, not in ours. And average Joes will never be able to run for election unless, unless, they’re in the pocket of corporations because the cost of campaigning will skyrocket — fueled by all that corporate campaign cash.
This is an extremely dangerous situation that will silence us regular folk if, ah, “Citizens United” wins this case, which it just might, given the makeup of the court.

Change We Can’t Believe In
The Democrat who is the banking industry’s favorite senator (i.e., they own him), Tim Johnson (S.D.), is set to assume the chairmanship of the Senate Banking Committee.
I think one word describes this pretty well: Corruption.
God Help Us
I can’t imagine this happening but some people are likin’ it: Cheney in 2012!
