The Op-Ed the “Liberal Media” Didn’t Want You to Read

Louise Russell, a research professor at Rutgers University, wrote an op-ed,

which was turned down by every newspaper to which it was submitted—The New York Times, USA Today, The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Los Angeles Times—Russell looked at different age groups among the elderly populations in both countries, and found that death rates for the elderly are lower in Canada than in the U.S.

Outrageous, isn’t it, that they want to keep this information from us but, as the article goes on to say, they let stand Bill O’Reilly’s bullshit about Canadians dropping dead left and right due to their “Socialized medicine”?

Diane Sawyer to Replace Charles Gibson — The “Liberal Media” Marches On

Charles Gibson will leave his post as news reader on ABC’s “World News” at the end of the year.  He will be replaced by that raging liberal, Diane Sawyer, whose background includes:

Sawyer served as a local TV news reporter and weather girl for WLKY-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1970, White House press secretary Ron Ziegler hired her to serve in the administration of President Nixon. Sawyer stayed on through his resignation in 1974 and worked on the Nixon-Ford transition team in 1974-75, after which she decamped with Nixon to California and helped him write his memoirs, published in 1978. She also helped prepare Nixon for his famous set of television interviews with journalist David Frost.

Now They’re Protesting Socialized Fire Departments

Unbelievable.  The words of the founder, Troy Conrad:

“We the people, hold this truth to be self evident:  A privatized Fire Department deserves the right to deny the call to put out your fire if it saves money and benefits the stockholders.”

Click around the site.  They’ve gone mad.

Oh, look, they’re on Twitter. Love this one:

The GOP Thinks Urging Kids to Work Hard in School is Socialism

On September 8, President Obama will give an address to students:

[O]n the importance of education. The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning. He will also call for a shared responsibility and commitment on the part of students, parents and educators to ensure that every child in every school receives the best education possible so they can compete in the global economy for good jobs and live rewarding and productive lives as American citizens.

The GOP’s response?   He’s spreading his “socialist agenda!”

This is from a September 1 press release from the head of the Florida GOP:

Tallahassee -  Republican Party of Florida Chairman Jim Greer today released the following statement condemning President Obama’s use of taxpayer dollars to indoctrinate America’s children to his socialist agenda.

As the father of four children, I am absolutely appalled that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama’s socialist ideology.  The idea that school children across our nation will be forced to watch the President justify his plans for government-run health care, banks and automobile companies, increasing taxes on those who create jobs, and racking up more debt than any other President, is not only unfuriating, but goes against beliefs of the majority of Americans, while bypassing American parents through an invasive abuse of power.

They’re nothing but lying fear mongerers.

Wildfires

Believe it or not, climate change is partially to blame for the Southern California wildfires.   Here’s a short synopsis as to why and how.  And chances are, we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
