Fox News — “World Wrap” in 20 Seconds
My local Fox station includes what it calls “World Wrap” as part of its evening news (“news” – a word which I use lightly when referring to Fox). Today’s “World Wrap?” Three items: A bombing in Iran; drat, I forgot the second one, and an Israeli bride who wore a tissue paper wedding dress.
World wrap? That’s it? That’s all that’s happening across the entire globe?!

Ask South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson to Retract His “You Lie” Outburst
During President Obama’s speech to Congress tonight South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson (R) yelled “you lie” when Obama said his plan would not provide medical care to immigrants, which is true. Wilson is the liar. Go here to help Wilson accept responsibility for his actions (Repubs are all for that, right?) and to admit that he’s wrong, or that he’s the liar.
Republicans Say Americans Want Them To Stop Health Care Reform
Top Republicans held a pre-Obama-speech news conference today to lay out their pre-rebuttal rebuttal. John Boehner said,
“The American people want us to do everything we can to stop it.”
Hah! That’s what happens when you live in the fact-free winger bubble. Polls show the opposite.
And Mitch McConnell said,
“We ought to do is skinny this thing down, target the problems in the system that we can all agree on.”
Tinker Bell Lives!

Wrong Again, Fox News
Earlier today, while President Obama was attending the memorial service for Walter Cronkite in New York City, Fox was running a chyron that said, something to the effect of, “Obama prepping for health care speech.” Ah no, he was attending the memorial. Idiots.

Debt
Here’s a chart from The Economist showing global debt, debt per capita, per GDP, etc. Pretty interesting.
For example, per capita debt in Mozambique is $129.34 and debt as a percentage of GDP is 29.1. In the U.S., per capita debt is $27,444.90 and debt as a percentage of GDP is 61.2.
