I Could Scream — What is Obama Thinking?!

This little ditty snuck under the radar given all the hysteria in the “liberal media” about today’s election:  Islam Siddiqui, Obama Nominee, Under Fire from Environmentalists.

Here’s the back story:  Obama has nominated Islam Siddiqui as the US’s chief agricultural negotiator for international trade. Siddiqui is a top official from CropLife, a, or rather the, powerful pesticide-industry trade group.  (CropLife represents 60-some pesticide manufacturers.)  He has spent years fighting restrictions and bans on environmentally hazardous products; to minimize restrictions on pesticides in NAFTA, and he succeeded in exempting US farmers from a worldwide ban on methyl bromide, an antifungal and an ozone-depleter.

And, incredibly enough, the CropLife crowd is the same group that blasted Michelle Obama back in April when she decided not to use pesticides on the White House garden.  What a sin, huh?

So this Siddiqui dude, who has been marinating in pesticides for years, is going to represent the United States on international agriculture issues and in him the pesticide industry will have every square inch of the Earth’s soil at its fingertips, as sanctioned by none other than the White House.

More change you can’t believe in.  I mean seriously, this is just awful.
