Joe the Plumber Bombs in Fort Collins

Joseph Wurzelbacher flew into Colorado yesterday to rally the troops in Fort Collins (this screenshot is an ad for the gathering from FreeRepublic):

So, what happened?

Not much.  The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports that for all the effort, only “hundreds”  turned out.  Denver’s 9News said the same.

Is it any wonder then that someone, somewhere, has to make this “grassroots movement” look like it’s a really big deal? I mean, think of the effort and money being spent here.

Fast forward:  This is a screenshot of an email I got today  from the TeaPartyExpress.org:

So, in the end, we’re supposed to believe that Michele Bachmann’s “Super Bowl of Freedom” is a spontaneous event?

Guess so.
