Right On, Right On, Right On!

I totally agree with this piece by Jon Walker over at FireDogLake about the NY-23 race. NY-23rd: The Failure of Blue Dogging. He writes about something that has driven me crazy for years: The “misguided ideal among some Democrats that the only way to win right-leaning districts is by diligently staking out bland center-right positions.”
If Republicans sweep the big races today and Democrats take that as a sign that they need to back off when it comes to health care and things like “card check,” they will be making a BIG mistake. Obama was elected to bring the change he campaigned on. If he and his party cave and move more toward the center than they already have, they’ll not only alienate Democrats, but Independents and Republicans who voted for them as well. If anything, they need to get back to the change they promised.
