Geraldo Rivera Acts Dumb – Doesn’t Remember That AARP Endorsed House Bill

I just watched Geraldo Rivera say he couldn’t remember whether the AARP endorsed the House health care reform bill that passed minutes ago. His cohort, Molly Henneberg couldn’t remember either. Gosh golly gee. What a surprise.
This from Thursday @FoxNews.com:
President Obama cited the endorsement of the influential AMA, along with AARP’s, in a surprise appearance Thursday in the White House briefing room as he attempted to beat back criticism that the bill would gut Medicare.
Are they that dumb or do they think we are (the latter)?

I just sent a letter to the editor of my local newspaper saying the same thing. I was flipping through the different news channels last night and was amazed when I heard Rivera and Hennberg “not recalling”. I read and heard about the AARP and AMA endorsements on Thursday. Didn’t they? Amazing.

Exactly. A lot of noise was made about both of those endorsements. They had to know about them. I have no doubt their omission was intentional. They didn’t want to give the bill that extra bit of legitimacy.

I heard what you cited above, but also his last comment before they cut away was, as I recall, “they didn’t”.

Damn. I wish I’d heard that. That makes what they did ever worse: They didn’t just act stupid, they lied.
Bastards.
