There are More Carrie Prejean Sex Tapes Out There?
RadarOnline is reporting this afternoon that there are eight Carrie Prejean sex tapes out there as well as 30 nude photos.
I don’t care about the sex tapes or about the photos. And, in the end, I don’t care all that much about Carrie Prejean either. What I do care about is a media that is doing its best to portray Prejean as a holier than thou conservative Christian but who, in private, behaves like a slut.
Sarah Palin Doesn’t Go Rogue, She Goes Fictional
In case you’re interested — this is getting old already — here is one of the first in what will undoubtedly be a long line of critiques of Sarah Palin’s new book, Going Rogue: An American Life:
Sarah Palin’s new book reprises familiar claims from the 2008 presidential campaign that haven’t become any truer over time.
Ignoring substantial parts of her record if not the facts, she depicts herself as a frugal traveler on the taxpayer’s dime, a reformer without ties to powerful interests and a politician roguishly indifferent to high ambition.
Palin goes adrift, at times, on more contemporary issues, too. She criticizes President Barack Obama for pushing through a bailout package that actually was achieved by his Republican predecessor George W. Bush — a package she seemed to support at the time.
Going rogue? How about going fictional? She’s like the Wizard of Oz — you know, the guy behind the curtain? When will this charade end?
A Headline That Would Never Have Been on Fox During the Bush Years
I monitored Fox News’ alleged “business news” show, Your World w/Neil Cavuto, at the News Hounds’ blog, during the entire four years of George W. Bush’s second term. When the stock market went down, the news was either ignored, reported as an afterthought, or briefly mentioned in the context of a conversation about a different topic. When it when up, on the other hand, it lead the hour with lots of bells and whistles.
And as for the employment numbers? Obviously the financial crisis occurred at the end of Bush’s second term so things were different then but bad employment numbers were brushed under the rug. And I can assure you that I never, ever saw anything like this: Cavuto did not tie Bush to bad news. Period.

Yet another example of why Fox’s use of the “fair and balanced news” slogan should be prohibited. It’s false advertising.
Reminder: Palin Interview on Oprah on Monday
So, Monday’s been declared a national holiday, right?
A Book Without An Index?
Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life (published by HarperCollins by the way, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch), doesn’t contain an index. People are wondering why.
The Latest Wingnut Fad? Walk off the Set
Tom Tancredo walked off the set of The Ed Show last Friday and now suddenly it’s a fad:
Carrie Prejean, the Miss California 2009 winner who was stripped of her title after making controversial remarks opposing same-sex marriage and appearing in topless photos, reportedly threatened CNN staff with an on-air walkout on Larry King Live if King was “not nice” to her.
At the Food Bank
I’m back from my stint at the food bank. The saddest part of the day was helping a guy who was wearing a cap saying he was a Vietnam veteran.
Palin v. McCain
Sarah Palin has launched her book tour.
On Monday she’ll be on Oprah and on Tuesday the book hits the stands. Already she and the McCain camp are trading shots.
Might be a good time to crawl into a hole somewhere. This will probably be the Big News through at least the end of next week. Sigh.
