British Parliamentarian Concerned About “Fox-Style News”

The British Parliament is debating a “Digital Economy Bill” which concerns downloading digital content.  During the debate today, Lord Mandelson acknowledged,

“Copyright infringement is the market’s way of telling us we need to find new business models.” And, without naming News Corp. he took a clear dig at James Murdoch: “They want to erode commitment to impartiality – to fill British airwaves with more Fox-style news.”

Thank goodness they’re aware of the dangers of “Fox-style news.”  Hopefully they’ll nip News Corp. in the bud before what it calls “news” is as pervasive there as it is here.
