The Obama Administration Pimps Taxpayers on Citigroup “Deal”
Yesterday I wrote about my misgivings about Citigroup reaching a “deal” with the U.S. government to repay its TARP funds.
Man-o-man. I smelled a rat and sure enough, here it is: U.S. Gave up Billions in Tax Money in Deal for Citigroup’s Bailout Repayment.
Hum. Makes me wonder what the heck Obama was talking about yesterday when he met with them there bankers. It smells to me like Cheney’s secret meeting with the oil energy companies.
Senate Votes in Favor of Their Handlers: Big PhARMA

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget office has estimated that Dorgan’s plan would save the federal government $19 billion over the coming decade. Dorgan has estimated it would save American consumers four times that amount.
Tea Party Patriot “Die-In” a Total Dud
Golly gee. There was supposed to be a big Tea Party Patriot “die-in” today at the Capitol in D.C., but I’m not seeing anything about it on the teevee. And I don’t see anything about it at FoxNews.com either. You know if there were as little as a few hundred people in attendance they’d play with the facts and create a crowd in the “thousands” (the number the Tea Party Patriots predicted as recently as yesterday) and splash pictures all over their homepage. But no. Nothing.
So, I wonder what happened.
Oh, here’s something: A Very Gentle Die-In. Looks like about 30 people attended.
I wonder what the TeaPartyPatriot twitter feed has to say. nothing there either (as of 5:00 p.m. ET), other than this sad little tweet:
At the Food Bank
Sad statistic: I just learned that requests for assistance at the food bank where I volunteer were up 108% this November after last.
New Air Force Ad Makes War Look Like a Whole Lotta Fun
Check out this new Air Force ad. It implies that being in the Air Force is like being in a Star Wars movie or a video game.
Inflation Fears
This is the last thing we need:
U.S. wholesale prices heated up in November, recording their first annual increase in a year and raising the spectre that inflation could be looming, labour department figures showed on Tuesday.
