Do Bill and Hillary Clinton Really Care About a Free Press?
I caught part of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech on human rights tonight on C-SPAN. She talked a lot about the freedom of speech and of a free press.
All that’s well and good but I couldn’t help but thinking about a really, really defensive and pissed of Bill Clinton who refused to answer questions posed by Amy Goodman back in 2004. Seems to me he prefers the softball, ass-kissin’ “journalists” over someone like Goodman who has real questions and expects real answers.
No offense to Hillary but again, I kept thinking about that interview…
Food Stamps as “Income”

Karl Rove, John Bolton & Newt Gingrich — “Featured Talent” on Fox
I don’t know if Fox realizes how bad this looks for its heavy hitting big ass macho guys but it’s referring to Karl Rove, John Bolton and Newt Gingrich as, “Featured Talent.”
“Featured talent?” Hey, fine by me. It couldn’t be more true and it puts them in their place but does Fox really mean to equate those guys with oh, say, Jack Hanna, Kathy Gifford or Denise Austin? (I don’t think so.)
