Scary Black Man

I turned off the teevee last night at about 11:30 p.m. ET during a rerun of CNN’s “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer. Wolf was talking about the remarks President Obama made yesterday about getting tough on the banks. Simultaneously, the chyron on the screen read: “President Obama New Direction? Getting Tough on Banks and Sounding Angry.”
“Sounding angry?” Can you imagine that being said about oh, say George W. Bush? No. The word that would be used for him would be something like “determined” or “committed.”
But black men, they sound “angry.” So, be afraid.
