Good Morning?
I get up, drink some coffee, read the newspaper, eat breakfast and turn on my computer. I read my tweets and learn,
1) That the Democrats and President Obama are probably going to dump adult coverage of preexisting conditions in the “health care bill.” Dumb, dumb idea. That was one of the few provisions that excited me. I thought it was a critical part of the legislation and that it would make a big difference in many people’s lives. What. Are. They. Thinking?
2) That we must really be pissing off the populace in Afghanistan because Reuters is reporting that a group of 12 Afghan police have switched sides and joined the Taliban insurgents in western Herat province.
3) That Obama was on the phone yesterday ginning up support for the reconfirmation of Ben Bernanke, the guy who stood around while the economy collapsed. IMHO, not only should Bernanke go because of that, but he should go because it would be a good political move on Obama’s part. But, hey, who am I, right?
So, I don’t know if it’s all that good a morning but I’m going to make it a cozy day — watch some football and make something sort of junky to eat, maybe chili or macaroni and cheese.
