David Plouffe Wants Me to Party

Will President Obama throw a bone to the left during his State of the Union speech by saying something strong about oh, say, DADT, and a bone to the right by talking about deficit spending, none of which will come to pass?
That’s the gist of what I’m hearing.
Meanwhile, I got an email from David Plouffe today (one of those mass mailings) urging me to organize a watch-the-SOTU party.
A what? He doesn’t seem to get that I’m in a dead-serious, put-up-or-shut-up mode. I don’t want to party. I want to listen to every freakin’ word so I can decide whether I’m still in the game.
Or not.
