President Obama — Please, Cut Defense Spending

Here’s a “leak” as to what President Obama will say on Wednesday during his SOTU address:
The Environmental Protection Agency and the Commerce, Interior and Justice Departments are among the executive branch agencies subject to the freeze, officials said, while the Defense Department, Department of Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs and unspecified international affairs programs would be exempt.
The United States spends more than all the countries in the world on defense but we can’t close one, two or ten random bases so we can cut defense spending just a teeny, tiny bit?
Come on, dammit!
Not only that, we’re going to sell arms to Taiwan so we can intimidate the Chinese. (I’d like to know the name(s) of the corporate lobbyist who arranged that deal.)
My God.
Change you can’t believe in.
(I’m so angry I can’t see straight.)
