Republicans Travel to Far Off, Strange Land: Hawaii

Well, well, well, I just found out that the Republican National Committee is holding a meeting in Hawaii this week.
A few thoughts:
– Isn’t Hawaii. like, a foreign place where people of questionable heritage come from?
– If any members of the House or Senate are attending, I presume the RNC is paying their way and that we taxpayers aren’t. I say that because I watched a few minutes of “Fox and Friends” this morning and they were bitching about how much money the congressional delegation to the climate talks in Copenhagen spent. Surely that bastion of “fair and balanced news” will scream about any congressional members going to Hawaii on our dime too if they did.
– Let me know if you find any mention of this on FoxNews.com. I couldn’t. Guess they figured it wouldn’t look all that good if their audience knew their leaders were hanging out on an island that Fox has painted as being on a different planet.
