Flip Flop: Now Republicans Don’t Want Health Care Debate Televised

How long has it been — four months, nine months? — since the Republicans started screaming about how President Obama promised to televise the health care debate on C-SPAN and (this part was left unsaid) he’s a lying SOB because he went back on his word?
So Obama says okay, let’s do it — how does February 25 sound?
Great, right? Not so much. It looks like John Boner* (R-OH) is chickening out, as is Mike Enzi (R-WY), who’s pretending to be concerned that it’ll turn into a “media show.” A media show? Really? Gosh, golly, gee. A little bird is whispering in my ear. He thinks that’s what they would have said if Obama had televised the debate to begin with.
Republicans are not going to give Obama a break. Ever. About anything.
* I know the correct spelling of John Boner’s last name is Boehner but as long as he calls the Democratic Party the Democrat Party I’m calling him Boner.
