C-SPAN Mouths Right-Wing Talking Point

Remember a few short years ago when the Bush administration would announce that “Al Qaeda #3″ or “the #2 leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq” had been killed and a collective cheer rose up across the nation — especially in the media?
Well, how things have changed. This morning I was watching Washington Journal on C-SPAN. The host was Robb Harleston and his guest was Marc Thiessen of the conservative Hoover Institute. It was 8:31 a.m. ET and Harleston asked this question: “Is Barack Obama killing too many bad guys before the U.S. can interrogate them?”
Now if that isn’t an Obama-can’t-do-anything-right, winger talking point I don’t know what is. When Bush killed terrorists he was a macho dude and we were all encouraged to breathe a big sigh of relief because we were so much safer. When Obama kills terrorists, he’s putting our country in jeopardy because we’re not getting the intelligence we might if we hadn’t killed them.
Cut it out C-SPAN.
