Reading this heartbreaking article about the unemployed and the possibility, no, the probability that millions of jobs will not return, and this sentence leapt out at me: “Automation has helped manufacturing cut 5.6 million jobs since 2000 — the sort of jobs that once provided lower-skilled workers with middle-class paychecks.”
Incredible.

Yeah, it’s a helluva time to be trying to return to the job market or getting in for the first time, like me and my kids. Good thing we like beans and rice.
