Fox News Opposes “Obamacare” But it Wants the U.S. to Go to the Moon
The White House announced earlier this week that President Obama will unveil a new vision for the NASA space program in April.
Fox “News,” as always, biting at Obama’s heels, pre-emptively stood up tonight for the corporations who would lose big bucks if the space program was scaled back or canceled:
Then again, Fox claims it supports the Tea Party’s anti-tax stand (but what it doesn’t say is that it’s against taxes for the rich, not Tea Partiers); it’s against “Obamacare,” which would help millions of real people because it’s “too expensive,” and oh, paying teachers a decent salary to educate our kids is outrageous too but going to the moon? Buckle up. Let’s go!
The Righties Are in Panic Mode Over “Obamacare”
I received two frantic emails today from wingnut organizations. Here are screenshots of the top portion of each of them. The first was from the Tea Party Express. The subject line read: Oh No! Pelosi May Get Health Care Vote THIS WEEK!
First of all, Obama did not cancel his overseas trip. He postponed it by three days. Second, what’s with the language about forcing a “bill through ASAP?” We’ve been debating the damn thing for over a year and Obama has done everything possible to include the “other side” in the process. Oh, and let’s be sure to watch the news to see what kind of “major effort” happens in Taft Park on Tuesday in Washington.
The second email was from Newsmax. The subject line on it read: Dick Morris: Obama, Pelosi Are Frantic:
Again, “ram through Obamacare?” After talking about it for over a year?
I thought Republicans were chomping at the bit for “Obamacare” to pass so they could run against it in November. That was/is going be their one and only issue. So why the hysteria? They should be jumping up and down. It’s their ticket to ride, no? (No. They’re scared to death people will love it once it’s passed.)
