Why Does Karl Rove Lie About Things That Can Be Disproved in Ten Seconds?

Why does Karl Rove lie about things that can be Googled and disproved in seconds? Like this: Rove denies Bush administration said oil would help pay for war.
When I blogged at News Hounds, righties would lurk and then pounce at the smallest mistake — a misplaced coma, a misspelled word — and then they’d accuse us of not getting our facts straight or of trying to twist the truth. These are the same people who think what Karl Rove says is gospel.

Why does Karl Rove lie so obviously – because the Right no longer recognizes the truth and will gulp down whatever they’re given AT THAT MOMENT and consider it the ONLY TRUTH. Pretty magical way to be for a political party. Saves so much time on recordkeeping.

Absolutely right. And yeah, it totally eliminates the need to (1) know and remember the facts and (2) remember what you heard last week.
