Keith Olbermann is Devoting His Entire Show Tonight to His Dad

I feel for Keith Olbermann and the loss of his dad. I lost both of my parents and a brother in fairly long, difficult, drawn-out ways too so I think I know what he’s going through. But Keith, enough. Really.
We’ve all suffered losses. Many of us would love to have a television show that would allow us to talk about our loved ones but we don’t. I think it’s unseemly and inappropriate for you to take advantage of your privileged position in that way.
Donate in memory of Keith’s dad here.
All the best.
Take your time, and come back when you can focus on your job.
XO.

I feel for Keith’s loss. In the past, I have been a fan of his show. However, after last night’s program, I have come to the unfortunate decision that I can no longer watch “Countdown.”
I must have missed the part of the program where Keith thanked Lawrence O’Donnell for filling in for him while he was away. Also, I think I was away from the television set when Keith thanked his viewers for their expressions of support during his time of bereavement.
Last night’s performance was one of the most self-indulgent things I’ve ever seen on TV in the forty-plus years I’ve been alive. Goodbye, Keith. I will miss you. Somehow or other, you must have missed the memo that the world doesn’t revolve around you. I couldn’t possibly bring myself to spend an hour each weeknight with O’Reilly, so Campbell Brown and CNN it is.

Well said. However, now that Christiane Amanpour has left CNN and Erick Erickson has joined it, I ain’t watching that either. And, you know that Campbell Brown is married to Dan Senor, right?
