Fox News Lies About Cancelation of Sarah Palin Gig in Colorado

UPDATED below.
On Saturday I posted about a Colorado group that cancelled an appearance by Sarah Palin by blaming the cancellation on “an onslaught of personal attacks” on her. Yesterday we learned that the reason for the cancellation appears to be a lack of interest and an inability to sell tickets.
But never mind those facts. This morning on Fox & Friends the automatons on the show teased a report about this several times: once with this chyron, “Too Dangerous to Appear?” and once, while heading to a break, with “news” that Palin “has a reason to fear for her safety.”
When Gretchen Carlson finally got around to explaining what was going on, she said the event had been canceled because the organization putting it on, “says it has received an onslaught of personal attacks” against Palin.
Fact is, the news release went on to clarify its use of the words, “an onslaught of personal attacks:”
The news release, which was issued by the Pacheco foundation about 4 p.m. Saturday, said that no “direct threats have been made against anyone, but the recent increase in negative rhetoric against the former Alaska governor raises concern for her safety and the safety of others.”
So, Sarah Palin signs on with the “Pacheco Foundation,” which is such a huge organization that it had “total assets of $2,204 in 2009.” Then, the “Pacheco Foundation,”
announced the Palin appearance on its Facebook page on Jan. 10 and began selling $185-per-person tickets Jan. 16.
On Jan. 30 the group offered $15 discounts, and on Wednesday it slashed ticket prices in half before announcing the gala to the news media on Friday.
And then, at “about 4:00 p.m. Saturday,” the “Pacheco Foundation” cancels the event via the news release above and today, Monday, Fox paints poor Sarah Palin as a victim of death threats by liberals/Democrats.
It’s called p-r-o-p-a-g-a-n-d-a.
UPDATE: TMZ reported this more accurately than Fox. What does that tell ya?

“…no “direct threats have been made against anyone, but the recent increase in negative rhetoric against the former Alaska governor raises concern for her safety…”
So her falling poll numbers mean someone is going to take a shot at her? Nonsense. FOX viewers will eat it up, though.
