Obama’s Jobs Speech Topped Ratings for NFL Opener

Remember how the “liberal media” told us nobody — nobody! — would watch Obama’s jobs speech last night because the only thing people care about is watching some damn football and never mind our b❍ring, incompetent president?

Wrong again.  But you can be sure you won’t hear about this from that same “liberal media” because hey, they don’t want to  have to eat crow, in public!

President Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress detailing his job creation agenda drew more viewers than his foreign policy speeches during the past year.

Obama’s speech delivered 31.4 million viewers Thursday night across 11 networks. Overall, Obama’s TV audiences have declined during his presidency. But last night’s viewership is higher than his previous recent policy speeches on Libya in March (25.6 million) and on Iraq in August, 2010 (29.2 million).

As for the game?

It was estimated that more than 27 million people watched Thursday night’s game.
