Voter Suppression in the United States, Circa 2011

If you have a few minutes, take the time to watch this video produced by the Brave New Foundation (Robert Greenwald’s organization) about voter suppression efforts going on around the country, courtesy of the Koch brothers.
Many countries around the world do everything they can to make it easy to vote, including declaring Election Day a holiday. But here in the “greatest country on Earth,” conservatives are passing laws making it harder and harder to vote, because they’re scared. They’re scared that they can’t win and ram their conservative policies down our throats if blacks, Latinos, students and the elderly are allowed to vote. They parade around like they’re uber patriots but nothing could be more un-American or more unpatriotic. They are loathsome human beings.
