A Tea Party Leader’s Crazy Rationale for Supporting Mitt Romney

A group of Tea Party House members had a little get-together on Tuesday to talk about conservative issues and the 2012 election:
And when Texas Representative Louie Gohmert [R] chipped in his two cents, he not only confirmed the lack of excitement and growing desperation, he accidentally slammed Romney for his excessive flip flopping on the issues.
“If you’re not sure about whether to support Mitt Romney, whether you’re liberal, or whether you’re very conservative, you ought to be excited, because he’s been on your side at one time or another.”
Talk about dumbed down. I can see the new political strategy now: Be for everything at one time in your life (flip flipping is good!) so you can appeal to virtually everyone because you’ve been on everyone’s side “at one time or another.”
Aye yie yie.
