Why Did Santorum Go to Puerto Rico?
Rick Santorum has been campaigning in Puerto Rico all weekend, but why? Seems to me it was a big, dumb tactical error to spend any time there at all, given these numbers:

Memo to Rick Santorum: Show Me a Woman Who Signed the Declaration of Independence
Dumb is good (you’re looking at it):
I’m watching Rick Santorum conceding (or showing how nutzoid he is) tonight in Michigan. The highlight of his speech for me is his praise of the “men and women who signed the Declaration of Independence.”
Women?
Oy.
Rick, take a look: Why didn’t women sign the American declaration of independence?
Going to college can be a good thing.
Why Santorum is Getting Crazier by the Day
Is it any wonder Rick Santorum is saying crazier and crazier things by the day? He can’t match Rmoney’s money machine so he’s got to get media attention somehow:
The pro-Romney super-PAC Restore Our Future spent $14 million in January, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
That’s more than twice the nearly $7 million the super-PAC raised in January, although Restore Our Future finished the month with more than $16 million in the bank, according to a report in The New York Times.
The bulk of the fundraising came from wealthy donors, including Marriott International Chairman J.W. Marriott and Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman, with three individuals contributing $500,000 each.
Not only that, what Santorum is doing is working. He’s crushing — crushing! — the other GOP contenders in Texas, for example.
Rick Santorum’s Zzzzzzz Factor
Far as I can tell, none of the kids in this photo care what Rick Santorum is saying. And can you blame them? I’m sure the feeling is mutual.

Iowa Caucus Vote Update: Now It’s a “Virtual Tie”
On the night of the Iowa caucuses, Mitt Romney was declared the winner by 8 measly votes.
This morning, after a more thorough count, Iowa Republicans “certified” the vote and, as it turns out, Rick Santorum won by 34 votes. But now, the accepted description as to where we stand today is, it was a “virtual tie.”
So when the GOP establishment’s guy won, it was a win. But when the guy they don’t like wins, it’s a tie.
Cute.
Those Muslim Extremists What To Kill Us!
Imagine a high ranking Muslim cleric saying this:
“On occasion scientists working on the nuclear program in
Iranthe United States turn up dead. I think that’s a wonderful thing, candidly.”“I think we should send a very clear message that if you are a scientist from
Russia, North Korea, or from Iranthe United States, and you are going to work on a nuclear program to develop a bombfor Iran, you are not safe.”
In fact, that’s a quote from Rick Santorum.
Denied Insurance Because of…Acne?
Take a look at this
People can be denied (or, presumably, kicked off) insurance because of acne and pregnancy or because they were raped?
Amazing.
That said, guess what Rick Santorum said today about pre-existing conditions:
In Keene today, Rick Santorum told the mother of a cancer patient that people with pre-existing conditions should pay more for health care because they made “poor health choices.”
Gee. A while back, I had an emergency appendectomy. Was that due to “poor health choices?” Oh, and decades ago when I was 19-years-old I had a lumpectomy for a benign lump in my breast. Was that due to “poor health choices?” And what about the diverticulitis I had four years ago? I think I inherited that from my mother because she had it too. Was that a due to “poor health choices” Ricky? Huh? Huh?!
The Rupert Murdoch Presidential Campaign
UPATE I and II below.
“Some say” Rupert Murdoch and Fox News control the Republican party, which the do. But there are those who are just shocked, SHOCKED by that allegation.
That said, take a look at this tweet from 8:07 p.m. ET:
And this, posted at 8:23 p.m. ET:
Bill O’Reilly was back after his vacation for the first program of the year, and he had some unfinished business to tend to with Rick Santorum. The latter attacked O’Reilly on the radio today, suggesting that he was banned from the Factor. O’Reilly responded by reminding Santorum that he wasn’t exactly a star in the polls before this week but, now that he was, he was more than welcome to appear on the program on Wednesday.
Just sayin’.
UPDATED: @ 9:17 p.m. ET: Woohah! Santorum is on O’Reilly right now. Forget that waiting until Wednesday stuff. This is an emergency!
UPDATED II: @ 9:25 p.m. ET: Oops. I take that back. Santorum was just on Hannity. So, he’s on Hannity tonight and O’Reilly tomorrow? Quite an endorsement Rupert.
Homes of the GOP Presidential Candidates
Time to be a voyeur — meow — and to take a peek at the homes of the GOP presidential candidates, like Rick Santorum’s home in Great Falls, Virginia:
Or this one; Mitt Romney’s home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire:
Far as I know, Romney also has a home in Massachusetts and one in La Jolla, California. One would think he has one in Michigan too but I don’t know that for a fact.
Anyway, see the rest of the pix here.
