Hilary Rosen

I just sat down to lunch and flipped the teevee on to see what the cable “news” channels were talking about at “the top of the hour.”  One guess.  You win!  Hilary Rosen everywhere.  CNN, Fox, MSNBC and even CNBC.

I could tell by reading my email and tweets that what Rosen said last night on CNN threatens life as we know it, but CNBC?  Really (of course they’re right-wing hacks too)?

“His wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” Rosen said on Anderson Cooper’s “AC360” show. “She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and how do we — why we worry about their future.”

What Rosen said is ridiculous for sure, especially coming from a woman and a mom, but this hysteria is ridiculous too.  Republicans, with the shameless help of the “liberal media,” are using it to gain favor with women. Period.  Not only that, but what Rosen said is her opinion people.

Where is the equal outrage about this, which was stated as fact by Republican Florida Rep. Allen West on Tuesday:  “I believe it’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party are members of the Communist Party.”

What?  What?  Let’s spend a couple days on that everyone, especially you “liberal media.”

UPDATE @ 2:26 p.m. ET:  Okay.  They broke her.  Rosen has apologized:  “I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended,” Rosen, a top Democratic strategist and CNN contributor, said in a statement. “Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance.”

Entry filed under: 2012 Election, Democrats, Including Blue Dogs & "Liberals", Republicans, Including Wingers & "Moderates", The "Liberal Media".

The only thing she should have said is “she has never been in the working sector” one word that she missed. Really, what is he big deal?
