Consider This: How We Treat The Animals We Eat

This video is hard to watch but I made myself do it.  I’ve been thinking about becoming a vegetarian for years and I still am.  This pushes me more toward it.

Via MercyForAnimals.

I can see how people who probably aren’t treated well or paid well resent the animals they may see as making their lives miserable but I wonder what kind of toll, in the end, that takes on their soul.

Again, we’re talking a really heartless system here in the U.S. for humans and for animals.

This is just barbaric for every species involved.

You may enjoy Mark Bittman’s (NY Times Food Editor) new book, “VB3: Eat Vegan Before 6.” He, and of course many others, have written beautifully and compellingly about the ethics of our food sourcing, and too of its sustainability.

I think Mark Bittman is wonderful so I’ll check it out.
