To follow up, I got a refund check from Nissan the other day.

I raised a lot of hell about this so I’m not sure who facilitated the refund — the Nissan people who responded to my tweets, Ted at my local dealership or whoever received my certified letter.  But THANKS NISSAN.

Phew. I can finally put this to bed.

Oh, and again, I don’t know if Ted at my local dealer made this happen but I took him a box of cookies today anyway.

    I had a TERRIBLE experience with Nissan Motor Acceptance – their credit arm. When I bought my first new car, a Nissan Sentra, they were merciless about payments – calling and harrassing my wife Priscilla. She was the soul of politeness and they pissed HER off. Some real jerks working in that company that need to be doing it better and cleaner – the competition is unforgiving. And so are most consumers. Full disclosure, The Sentra lasted for 14 years and was donated to a Boys and Girls club – my Altima I also bought new and have had since 2001. Best car I’ve ever owned. Now if they can just get SALES under control…
