Drones in the Hood

At approximately 1:30 this afternoon, on a beautiful sunny day (65º!), I was sitting on the deck in back of my home in Boulder, Colorado when I suddenly heard a whirring sound.  I looked up and lo and behold, there was a white drone which looked to have risen from the street in front of the house behind me.  It was at an altitude of about 30 feet, its camera pointed right at my face.  It hovered there for three or four minutes before being brought down by whoever was manning the thing.

To say I felt that my privacy had been violated wouldn’t do justice to my feelings.  I mean, what’s next? The drone hovers outside my bedroom window, captures video of me naked and the owner posts video on YouTube?

I hope my City Council is working on privacy laws as I write.

I guess the lesson here is to keep your windows cracked so you can hear that whir.

Aye yie yie.  The future is here folks.

You might consider a new hobby, say, skeet shooting.
